Utilizing innovative technology from the automotive sector, we are able to produce a new sustainable material. Our unique manufacturing process is a carbon neutral solution that creates VOC-free and recyclable products.
The award winning Wall Decor Set for designers (Best Prototype by Western Living Magazine) and concept of value-added engineering through densification (CLEAN50 Award 2018) shows our recognition and expertise in the industry. The credibility of our applications are featured in publications such as Mercedes Benz Magazine, Lonely Planet, and Design Milk, while our microfactory concept has also found recognition through BC Business’ 30 under 30 and Ones to Watch 2019 awarded to our Founder.
We harvest urban resources for our second life products, which extends the duration of the carbon retained in the wood and bamboo material. When recycled, processed and engineered, our material is created for a new, durable lifetime in its second value added use.
Through our ambition of lean sourcing, manufacturing and distribution, we ensure to maintain a low contribution to our own greenhouse gas emissions to retain our current carbon negative status.
Distributed manufacturing has several advantages regarding market entry and product flexibility. Smaller factories can react more spontaneously to changes in market needs - a strength to react on trends and changes in your individual requirements.
Our business decisions are motivated by our desire to be an inspiring leader in environmental impact and transparency through our supply chain.
We know every space is different, which is why our team creates customized solutions for each of our clients. Our microfactories are equipped to handle projects of any size - from commercial to small businesses needs, we have dedicated local teams as well as our experts in the corporate office to support your next design adventure.
We benefit from the natural durability, hardness and performance of bamboo as the resource, which we enhance with a water-based resin densification using high pressure. The end result is a uniform, consistent product designed to last another lifetime, while permanently retaining CO2 from the atmosphere.
Our engineered material surface shows warm characteristics of caramelized wood tones with the endgrain playfully revealing the densified characteristics. It can be cut, processed, drilled and finished like any hardwood, and is VOC-free.
Zero Waste Tile
If you’re in charge of planning, designing or building unique spaces, we simply want to help you to make conscious decisions. This means if you are an industry professional such as an interior designer, carpenter/cabinet maker, architect, real estate developer, and property management company, we’d love to work with you.
Business license, membership in a qualified design organization, interior design certification, W-9 or Federal ID form showing your EIN number.
We densify our material to last. Our engineered manufacturing method ensures that our final products are meeting your surface resistance and durability requirements. Throughout the hydraulic densification process of each tile - the individual building component of all our products - we improve the performance of the natural wood and bamboo resources to create new, uniform characteristics.
The best applications of our products are areas where you know the material has to perform. With our newly densified composite, we achieve a higher performance level for hardness, durability, stability, impact and scratch resistance.
The best use of our products include engineered surface materials on architectural and acoustic wall patterns, table and work surfaces, or feature flooring to accommodate your highest sustainability standards.
After a thorough brushing and sorting process, a combination of heat, steam and pressure removes any trails of contamination or bacteria throughout our production process. We don’t use any additional resources or chemicals to sanitize our chopsticks, avoiding the creation of wasted water and energy needed that would negatively impact our carbon footprint.
The GBCI evaluates and certifies each of your building projects individually, rather than by product. We are committed to provide you with full insights and transparency of our production process through our Urban Impact Report to help achieve LEED certification for the projects we are involved in.
It depends on the product - get in touch with us at email@example.com to start the conversation.
We accept all major credit cards, electronic wire transfers or company checks. Please allow additional processing times for different payment methods which will always be outlined on your invoice. Customized orders that we designed specifically for your individual project may require full payment in advance (such as projects below $10,000) to confirm all production details - this allows us to manage supplies, production lead times and partners for logistics. Payment terms may change on a project by project based and we always try our best to accommodate your proposal.
We’d love to hear more - please message us through the form above, or contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org for more specific inquiries.
For commercial spaces, we use a professional grade spray finish to withstand commercial cleaning products. For home furnishings, we stay all natural with mineral oils.
