From Liverpool to London: ChopValue Advances UK Expansion with Planned London Microfactory

VANCOUVER, BC — June 30, 2026 — ChopValue today announces the next phase of its UK expansion with the selection process for an operating partner to lead a planned London Microfactory as part of its growing UK circular manufacturing network.

The selection process signifies the next phase of ChopValue’s growth strategy in the UK and reflects increasing demand from new and existing commercial partners for localized circular manufacturing solutions across the country. The announcement to expand into London, one of Europe’s largest markets for hospitality, commercial interiors, and sustainability-driven procurement, comes right after London Climate Action Week, a global platform for advancing practical climate solutions across cities and communities. ChopValue’s localized manufacturing approach reflects the growing focus on turning climate ambition into measurable action at the city level. The planned London expansion represents a strategic step forward in scaling urban harvesting across the UK, reinforcing ChopValue’s mission to transform underutilised materials into high-performance, locally manufactured products through distributed Microfactory infrastructure.

The Liverpool Microfactory established the foundation of ChopValue’s journey in the UK, where Managing Director Tom Davies established the brand’s first UK operation in the city where he grew up. Built on strong community relationships, and a commitment to circular leadership, the location demonstrated the potential of localized circular systems at a regional level. To date, over 13 million chopsticks have been diverted through local collection efforts, highlighting the measurable environmental impact that Microfactory networks can create within communities.

The expansion of UK operations has also been supported by growing commercial traction and market recognition. The business has collaborated with brands including Yo! Sushi through recycling partnerships and Wagamama, whose sustainability-focused restaurant features ChopValue’s commercial-grade circular furniture. The team has also gained attention across business, sustainability, and mainstream media, with features including Yahoo UK, QSR Media, Forbes, and BBC, reflecting growing interest in localized manufacturing and climate positive solutions.

As part of this expansion, ChopValue is opening a focused selection process for an operating partner with entrepreneurial, operational and manufacturing expertise to lead the London Microfactory. The selected operating partner will have the opportunity to lead the local implementation of the Microfactory model, including operational development, partner network growth, feedstock collection systems, and commercial execution within the London market.

London represents one of the world’s most interconnected urban economies, bringing together a high concentration of potential feedstock partners and end users within a compact geography. This includes restaurants, hospitality groups, corporate headquarters, universities, architects, designers, developers, and organisations increasingly seeking measurable sustainability outcomes from procurement decisions.

Across its global network, ChopValue Microfactories produce furniture, interior elements, wall features, and custom installations for commercial and residential environments. Each location is designed to reflect local demand while contributing to a shared global system of circular manufacturing knowledge and innovation. The future London Microfactory will follow this same principle while adapting to the unique scale and opportunities of the UK market.

“Liverpool gave us the foundation to prove what is possible when circular manufacturing is embedded into a community from day one,” said Tom Davies, Managing Director of ChopValue UK. “London represents the next step in that journey, bringing a proven model into one of the world’s most connected urban markets and creating impact at a larger scale.”
