ChopValue Japan is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced woodworking professional to step into a leadership role as a Furniture Craftsman Manager. We are a global company pioneering circular manufacturing, turning used chopsticks into high-quality furniture and building materials. Operating in ten countries, we run localized Microfactories that transform waste into opportunity while creating sustainable products that last.

In Japan alone, around 27 million chopsticks are discarded every day in the Kanto region. We see this not as a problem, but as potential. That’s why we launched our first flagship Microfactory in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, and are now building a nationwide network. Over the next five years, our goal is to bring 1,000 skilled woodworkers into our Microfactory ecosystem.

As a Furniture Craftsman Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the workshop by leading production, quality, workflows, and the team. You’ll shape how we bring our circular manufacturing mission to life in Japan. We also offer unique flexibility: woodworkers can use our factory to craft their own pieces outside regular hours and even sell them as a side project. • Position: Furniture Craftsman Manager
• Job Description: Production of wooden furniture
• Salary: rom ¥422,000 - ¥600,000 per month (includes deemed overtime pay for 20 hours)
• Location: 211-0053   2-5-40 Kamiodanaka, Nakahara-ku, Kawasaki-shi, Kanagawa
• Start Date: Immediate start available or negotiable
• Probation Period: 3 months
• Working Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (1 hour break)
• Holidays: wo days off per week (Saturday and Sunday), national holidays, Golden Week, year-end and New Year holidays, paid leave starting from 10 days per year
• Qualifications: 6 years or more of practical experience as a woodworker
