ChopValue Announces US Expansion in Dallas, Texas

ChopValue is excited to announce its expansion to Dallas, Texas, as a circular manufacturing technology provider to a leading retail product manufacturer to promote the return of “made local” to the United States.

ChopValue Dallas will diversify the product portfolio of an existing manufacturer specializing in “products with design, form, and function and the purpose to improve the lives of those they touch.” The US-based brand is a leading supplier for the retail industry with the main goal to bring more sustainable product solutions into their portfolio and reduce their dependence on global supply chains by bringing manufacturing closer to their customers and providing jobs locally.

With their investment into bringing ChopValue’s Microfactory concept to Texas, their leadership team is further positioning the company for long-term success. The new expansion team passionately cares about the planet with a commitment to preserving our natural resources. The commitment into ChopValue’s state-of-the-art micro-manufacturing concept for their new product portfolio allows them to live their purpose and scale, optimize and increase the efficiency of their local manufacturing capabilities after a recent acquisition of a reclaimed wood furniture business. With Texas conveniently located between their operations throughout their US retail network, this aligns with ChopValue’s vision of a hyperlocal approach to sourcing, manufacturing, and product distribution.

For ChopValue, this marks a significant step towards expanding its circular manufacturing capacity. “Being acutely aware of their use of current materials, the tangible improvements they are thriving for within their processes and logistics, and the motivation behind a sustainable approach to local manufacturing shows us that this partnership is taking tangible action seriously. I look forward to sharing more details about this partnership once the first products from the Dallas location hit the market later this year. We want to allow them to go through our training and operational scaling process so that they can tap into their true potential before we reveal further details,” says Felix Böck, CEO and Founder of ChopValue.

With the significant increase in demand for sustainable solutions, ChopValue expects to actively work through the ongoing applications with potential partners in other cities in Texas, just like Houston and Austin, as prime markets to lead the change towards widely available and accessible circular products. The Dallas Microfactory is expected to save an average of 1,200 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually when compared to the currently used conventional materials. With a waste conversion capacity of over 165,000 pounds — an equivalent of nearly 25 million chopsticks per year — ChopValue recognizes the positive impact on a local yet global scale towards the vision of turning “waste” to “resource,” one chopstick at a time.
