ChopValue Brazil is bringing localized circular manufacturing to São Paulo, led by entrepreneur Luciano Consentino. Born and raised in São Paulo, Luciano spent more than 20 years in the financial sector before following his entrepreneurial ambitions and founding Tarantino Cervejaria, one of the city's leading independent breweries. Now, he's bringing that same passion for building local businesses to circular manufacturing, creating a new way for São Paulo to recover materials, manufacture locally, and strengthen regional supply chains.
Home to the largest Japanese population outside Japan, São Paulo discards more than 150 million bamboo chopsticks every year. At the same time, Brazil is embracing circular economy as a national priority through PLANEC, its National Circular Economy Plan, creating strong momentum for businesses that recover resources and manufacture locally. Combined with Brazil's long-standing leadership in aluminum recycling and its culture of resource recovery, the country is well positioned to accelerate the next generation of circular manufacturing.
