VANCOUVER, British Columbia – ChopValue, a franchise model built on using recycled chopsticks to make furniture and other décor products, recently announced that it surpassed the recycling of 150 million chopsticks.

The company estimated that the world-wide recycling effort translates into eliminating 7,302,600 kg CO2e from being emitted to the atmosphere.

ChopValue currently has 14 micro factories operating in nine countries. Combined, the factories utilize more than 100,000 square feet of production space to manufacture products. Among the micro factory locations are Vancouver, Toronto, Boston, Dallas, Liverpool, Manilla, Bali, and Singapore.

ChopValue was founded by Felix Böck in 2016 while still a PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia’s Forestry Department.
