Project Manager (Vancouver)

The Project Manager at ChopValue will operate within the Corporate team based in Vancouver, BC, playing an important role in driving operational excellence through the oversight of strategic and custom projects. This individual will be responsible for ensuring Projects are efficiently delivered on time and in-line with company quality standards. This will require proactive cross-departmental communication and management of priorities in a fast paced environment. 

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager will be responsible for driving operational performance through facilitating close collaboration between business departments and vendors to deliver on customer requirements.The Project Manager will work closely with our Business Development, Operations and Product functions to ensure we maintain internal alignment on strategic and custom initiatives.

Lead Strategic Projects:

  • Lead strategic projects from pilot through to commercialisation. Focus on execution and delivering great customer experiences.
  • Ensure customer requirements are clearly defined.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Lead cross-functional and vendor communication to ensure projects are delivered on time, at the required quality. 
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Director to manage client relationships during project execution.  

Lead Custom Projects:

  • Manage custom customer projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring projects deliver on client expectations.
  • Facilitate clients meetings to ensure client needs are clearly understood and documented. Facilitate site visits as required.
  • Lead cross-functional and vendor communication to ensure projects are delivered on time, at the required quality. 
  • Own the client relationship during project execution, providing regular updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of industry experience in Project Management positions, ideally within the Food and Beverage or Hospitality industries. 
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability/ Flexibility to manage rapidly changing priorities and customer needs.  
  • Ability to work on-site at Company HQ (Vancouver, Canada) to collaborate in-person with cross-functional teams as needed.
