Area Development Manager - One Chopstick At A Time

ChopValue is growing its network of recycling partners and is preparing to launch into Toronto and Seattle. The Area Development Manager will play an important role in building and maintaining relations with restaurant partners, ensuring that chopsticks are collected and given a second life. This position will also help to build the communities around a ChopValue Microfactory from day 1. This is a full-time role and we are looking for Area Development Managers to be based in Toronto and Seattle.

The ideal applicant will have experience in the following:

• Strong business development and community/partnership building skills
• Door-to-door sales and negotiation
• Ability to speak in another language (Chinese, Japanese, Korean)
• Familiarity with the food and beverage industry is an asset
• Interest in sustainability and the circular economy

We’re looking for someone who’s not afraid to roll their sleeves up and will do what it takes to encourage their community to recycle chopsticks! You will be the first person to be based in these new locations, so this is a great opportunity to demonstrate leadership and growth.
